Master Plan

Updating Programs & Initiating Action Plans

The Cuyahoga County Planning Commission chose Cleveland Heights as one of four cities they will be working with to develop a city master plan. The goals of the county program are “to bring older plans up to date, encourage regional collaboration and focus on action plans that have a strong potential for implementation.” Cleveland Heights joins University Heights, Parma Heights, and Olmsted Falls in this program.

Defining a Master Plan

A Master Plan outlines a community’s vision for the future and then describes specific action steps that can be undertaken to accomplish them. A Master Plan allows the city to access whether policies and actions currently undertaken are addressing needs and accomplishing long-term goals.
