CLEVELAND HEIGHTS SEEKS COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT FOR DEFINING THE CITY BRAND
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH, 8/6/2018 - Cleveland Heights is undertaking a new initiative to establish an impactful brand identity that captures and communicates the spirit of the community.
"A brand is much more than a logo or tagline. It is the DNA of Cleveland Heights and speaks to who we are, what we stand for and what we offer visitors, business owners, and residents alike," said City Manager Tanisha Briley. "By discovering and defining our brand, we will now have the foundation for tools and resources to help us effectively promote our unique community."
The city has enlisted Ohio-based Align2Market to assist with the branding effort, which will give residents, business owners and community leaders a unified voice with which to share the story of Cleveland Heights.
While focus groups, interviews and steering committee meetings have recently begun with a variety of stakeholders, the city is asking all Cleveland Heights residents to engage during the process by visiting
www.clevelandheightsbrand.com and submitting their contact information to be included in a larger community-wide survey.
"Having a unified brand voice for our community is essential to our long-term growth and success," said Mary Trupo, Director of Communications and Public Engagement. "It promotes overall economic vitality, community pride, and can attract more visitors to our unique shops and restaurants. We are looking forward to seeing what the research uncovers."
The promotional initiative also will help advance a number of items detailed in the City’s master plan, including promoting the community’s vibrant neighborhoods, environmental sustainability efforts, business-friendly climate, engaged residents, diverse atmosphere and more.
