Cleveland Heights - Tiger Nation - Goes Red for Super Bowl LIV
City Lights Up the Night to Celebrate Cleveland Heights Native and Heights High Alum Travis Kelce who is Super Bowl Bound
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH, 01/29/2020 - To show its support for Travis, Cleveland Heights will be rocking red lights to ’Light Up The Heights’ on Super Bowl Sunday. Partnering with Alex and Dawn Quintana, long time friends of the Kelce family, and owners of Quintana’s Barber, Dream Spa, and Speakeasy, the City will distribute red lights to businesses, Heights High, City properties, and interested residents.
The pride goes both ways. "The City of Cleveland Heights is so pleased to be able to cheer on our very own Travis Kelce - #87 of the Kansas City Chiefs. He is a great ambassador for our City and for our outstanding school system," said Cleveland Heights Mayor Jason Stein. "We are excited and wanted to do something special to show our support to Travis. When the idea was floated to ’Light Up The Heights’, the City jumped all over it.".
A few years back, Travis started a charity called Eighty-Seven & Running to benefit young people in Cleveland Heights and in other communities. "Travis is not only doing well, but he is doing good." Stein said.
"I’ve known Travis for a long time and he is a great guy with a big heart and exceptional talent," Alex Quintana, co-owner of Quintana’s Barber, Dream Spa and Speakeasy said. "Travis has given a lot back to our City and I am thrilled that our City will celebrate him by not only cheering him to victory, but in Lighting Up the Heights with red lights to show our pride and support."
Come to Cleveland Heights Sunday, February 2nd and enjoy any of our many restaurants, bars, brewery’s and pubs and catch Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs as they take on the San Francisco 49ers.
