CITY ANNOUNCES NEW PLANNING DIRECTOR
Eric Zamft to start at end of month

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH, 1/11/2021 - "I am pleased to announce that the City of Cleveland Heights, after an extensive search, has hired Eric Zamft to lead the City's Planning Department. Eric comes to us from Port Chester, New York where he has had an illustrious career for more than five years in planning and economic development," said City Manager Susanna Niermann O'Neil. "He has a Masters Degree in City Planning - Land Use and Transportation from the University of Pennsylvania. Eric has been involved with city planning beginning with internships as far back as 1996. We are happy to welcome Eric to the team and I am confident he will be up and running in no time. He is slated to report to work at the end of January."

"I am excited to join the Cleveland Heights community in a few short weeks," Eric Zamft said. "I visited friends in Cleveland Heights a few years back and fell in love with this city. To be able to move here and help usher the city into the future is a great honor and privilege."

Eric is an AICP-certified planner with over 20 years of experience in the effective and successful management and technical preparation of a wide range of studies related to land use, zoning, economic development, transportation, community development and housing, environmental review, sustainability, and comprehensive planning. He also has expertise in Economic and Community Development, Transportation Planning, Comprehensive and Master Plan Preparation, Zoning - Analysis and Code Writing, and Environmental Review.
