Behnke Landscape Architects and Envision are working with the City of Cleveland Heights to create a Streetscape and Public Spaces Plan for the Taylor Road Corridor.
The Streetscape consists of the public area between the curb along the street and the private land, this usually is the tree lawn area and the public sidewalk.
The Taylor Road project spans the entire length of Taylor from Fairmount Boulevard north to the East Cleveland border. It encompasses five commercial nodes: Fairmount and Taylor, Cedar and Taylor, Cain Park Village, Severance, and Nelaview and Taylor.

The project looked at existing conditions and conducted a community survey to seek input on the various sections Taylor Road. This information helped inform the proposed drawings now being reviewed.

Once the plan is complete City staff will work with merchants and residents to implement the plan. This may include engineering study, more detailed drawings as well as locating revenue for the different elements.
